John, I love where you took this article. To see how you refined it into so many powerful life lessons, all wonderfully brought together, is really impressive. Great work.

My favorite parts were the reflections on knowing ourselves, and the discussion of how we change in online creative groups. Those really hit home.

Loved this. Such a great topic. Several lights went off as I read:

As humans we change second by second, so what grabs our attention or the things we seek also change. Media consumption should be a balance of walking into familiar and new ice cream stores and going with familiar or new and inspiring flavors depending on our mood, need?

western artist: start with an empty canvas and create

eastern artist: start with everything and chip away to reveal
